The Ricoh CX4 Camera has a new image stabilization system, which reduces blur on images especially effective in low-light photography. It also has "subject-tracking AF" that tracks the subject you are taking while it is moving, so it makes nature, sport photography and close up photography alot easier. It also features a back-illuminated, 10-megapixel CMOS image sensor that also offers improved low-light performance.
Ricoh have also managed to fit the 10.7x optical zoom (28-300mm) into a compact body that is only 29.4 mm thick. This also means that the camera is extremely versatile as picture angles can range from 28 mm wide angle to 300 mm telephoto.
There are many hidden features that are new to this camera like "night landscape multi-shot mode" this combines four exposures into a single photograph for reduced image noise. Along with other features such as "creative shooting mode" and "toy camera" effects.
The LCD monitor is a 920,000 dot 3 inch high definition VGA monitor. It also has a fluorine coating so that it keeps free of stains and a anti-reflection hard coating to help prevent scratches.
Ricoh have not forgot about there motto ("A tool you will want to use everyday") when designing the Ricoh CX4 as they have redesigned the body to make it more curvy so it slips in and out of a pocket easier.
